Edgar Olivas MD
Dr. Edgar Olivas hails from the small town of Firebaugh, California. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a bachelor’s of science in Neurosciene. Subsequently, he went to medical school at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC).
He completed his neurological training at Kaiser Permanente at Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC). He finally received his vascular neurology training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC).
He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Heart Association, and the Los Angeles Stroke Society (LASS).
Dr. Olivas is a strong advocate for stroke research and education. He has participated in various stroke trials, co-authored scientific abstracts, and presented posters at the American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting and at the Internal Stroke Conference. In addition, is an educator and active in delivering stroke education to the community and hospital staff.
When not working, he enjoys time with his family and friends. Hobbies also include ice hockey, basketball, hiking, movies, and comedy shows.
